The DANCE HEADS system: How does it work?
The Dance Heads system uses the most advanced TV technologies, equipment and software. Hollywood movie makers have been using the “Green Screen” technology or “Chroma Key” in their work for quite a long time. And it is this method that the Dance Heads technology is based on.
There is an example of how the “Green Screen” technology is used in the movie “The Matrix”:
Let’s look at the process of video recording and the Dance Heads system operation.
First, the participants comfortably take their places inside the studio and put on special green capes so that only their heads remain uncovered. There is a green screen behind them as well.
In the coin-operated models, the green capes are not used. Instead, the participants simply put their heads into a special green neckpiece in front of them.
Then the participants choose from a list of songs or super hero videos that they like the most and press the “Start” button. The music starts playing and the video camera starts recording the participants, capturing their movements. Their recording session is transmitted and viewed on several monitors.
One monitor is placed directly in front of the participants, so that they can see themselves. The second monitor, placed on the left side of the studio, is for spectators. The top of the system also provides a possibility of additional screen installations (for example, a plasma or LCD monitor). This makes the show even more spectacular, since the recording process ignites huge interest from the audience.
Having recorded their video, the participants wait for 2-3 minutes, while the system is transferring their recording to a “platinum” DVD.
